We provide arenas for making issues transparent and for structuring the debate. One aim is to vaccinate the policy making process against late fragmentation which may have negative effects on the quality of decisions. The methodology is based on transparency (the RISCOM Model), stakeholder participation, and the public sphere. We have defined a specific transparency process - the ITA ProcessTM (ITA = Institutionalised Transparency and Accountability), see
The ITA Process report (PDF, 498 kB).
We use a unique method to analyse organizational prerequisites for transparency, structuring complex areas for the benefit of effective deliberations, and a demanding but highly effective meeting format (Team Syntegrity). This is done in close cooperation with, and sometimes by, Wenergy AB in Sweden and Syncho Ltd in the UK.
We work within a network with academic institutions and consultant companies in forming research projects addressing issues in contemporary society such as risk communication including relations between deliberative approaches, the transparency approach and the normal policy making structures (representative democracy and referenda). We do this by making issues concrete in specified policy areas, such as energy production, waste management, electromagnetic fields and issues in biotechnology.
